Optimizing User Experience
Through a combination of quantitative and qualitative research methods, we delve into the needs and behaviors of this product's target users, aiming to clarify research questions and assess their requirements. This process highlights the necessity of technical optimizations to enhance the application's reliability and operational smoothness.
Comprehensive UX Enhancement Strategy
Utilizing both quantitative and qualitative research methods, we embarked on a comprehensive investigation into the product's target user needs and behaviors. Our goal was to refine research questions and accurately gauge user requirements. This exploration revealed numerous avenues for design improvements to enhance usability and streamline the user experience.

Research Topic and Problems
We aim to comprehend the needs and behaviors of users regarding this service, with a focus on investigating the primary research problem: the factors contributing to user interruptions or suspensions in usage. Additionally, we seek to uncover further insights and opportunities for enhancement through comprehensive research and evaluation.

Find out possible pain points
Interaction Map : Present the core path of the user experience of the services and define the scope of the interactive map. In this way, we can better understand the main provided services and features, as well as the needs and goals of the users.
Contextual Inquiry and Affinity Diagramming : We engaged in contextual inquiry with our target users to gain a comprehensive understanding of their needs, tasks, contexts, and goals. This involved conducting interviews with 12 individuals who have utilized "HOPE English" to learn English, delving into their usage habits, behaviors, and motivations. Following the collection of user interview recordings, my teammate and I conducted an affinity diagram exercise to synthesize and organize insights. Through this process, we identified common themes and platform features, grouping the observed problems accordingly.
Personas : Based on our findings from user research, we developed three types of personas and corresponding scenarios for the product. This approach offers a convenient method for describing the target users of the service, facilitating user-centered design by highlighting the characteristics of key user segments.

Comparative Analysis and Survey
We conducted a comparative analysis to assess the features and usability of the HOPE English system in comparison to similar systems. This analysis offers strategic insights into the features, functions, user flows, and emotional responses elicited by the design solutions of other services.
Using survey to investigate users opinions and experiences. We sent online questionnaires to users and received a total of 457 valid questionnaires, mainly to survey the reasons why customers continue or interrupt their use.

Heuristic Evaluation & Usability Test
Heuristic Evaluation : We assess the interface against established heuristics (Nielsen-Molich's), employing checklists to review the system from various perspectives.
Usability Testing : We design tasks for participants unfamiliar with the HOPE English app, conducting pre-task interviews to gauge their experiences with online language learning platforms. Post-task, we collect feedback through the SUS scale and observe behaviors, allowing us to uncover new usability issues and confirm findings from the heuristic evaluation.
We supplied the product owners with detailed research findings and design recommendations. These insights empower them to strategize future updates and enhancements, aligning closely with user expectations and elevating the overall product experience.
